The mind is a tool. We can let this tool control us or use it for what we want. The choice was, is and will be ours always.
Mind is a weapon that works against you, destroys you when you live it uncontrolled. But once you are able to control your mind, you are the master of your life.
The process of course is not easy, as mind is a powerful and wild horse. To control it, you will be able to observe it, know it and find how it transforms, changes, and what are the things that transforms/change the mind.
Everyday, find out a time when you will not be disturbed. Sit down, breathe slowly.Gradually you will be calm. You do not have to concentrate hard on something to meditate. Just be there fully aware and mindful. Watch your thoughts silently....observe your mind, how it feels, what memories it holds, and where the thoughts flow, towards where....
This is the way to observe and know your mind. You will be fully aware and mindful of the moment, you will learn to alienate your mind from you. Then you will be able to watch it transforming, changing feelings. But you will not be affected by this wild horse. Rather, you will know how this wild horse can be controlled. Practice mindfulness for 30 minutes everyday...and gradually it will become a habit. Your mind will work for you, not against you.
